We knew Mrs. Cardenas from church and heard great things about her licensed daycare “Kids of The King”, and I have been exceedingly happy with the care and pre-school education she has provided for my daughters. She has taken care of my oldest daughter (for 3 years) who is now 9 years old and my youngest daughter (for 5 years) who is now 5 years old and they have nothing but the fondest memories of her. I left my children in her care with complete trust that my daughters were in a safe, secure environment 5 days per week, 8 hours a day.
Mrs. Cardenas has turned a portion of her home into a childcare facility. The facility is always clean and tidy, and under control. She accepts children ages starting at one month and prepares them for kindergarten. My girls were sad to leave Mrs. Cardenas when they started kindergarten,
but I still take them to her on holidays and during their summer break. Mrs. Cardenas is patient, nurturing, and kind while still maintaining discipline and gaining the utmost respect of the children in her care. She is excellent with children of all ages. She has an organized schedule for each age group which includes education, indoor play time, outside time, story time, lunch, snack and nap time. She instills values in them, ensuring the children were courteous amongst one another.
One of the most impressive things about Mrs. Cardenas’ program is her pre-school curriculum. She takes the time to find out the specific kindergarten curriculum in our county’s public-school system and any changes that are made from year to year. She makes certain that the concepts and skills she teaches in her pre-school adequately prepare the children at her center for a successful kindergarten year. My daughters were well-prepared and have done very well through kindergarten.
